Rock in Rio Announces 2013 Lineup Including Muse, Metallica, Iron Maiden and More

Metallica Announces 2013 Dates for 2nd Annual Orion Music Fest

Taking the second-annual event to Detroit next summer, Metallica will again bring the hurt for their Orion Music + More Festival in 2013. The two-day metal meeting’s official location has yet to be revealed, but we know this much: James Hatfield and company are slated to shake up the Motor City on February 8-9. As we mentioned in a previous story, Re-Machined: A Tribute to Deep Purple’s Machine Head is about to surface and it sounds like it is going to be an excellent tribute to Deep Purple’s classic album, Machine Head.  There is an all-star cast of collaborators like Metallica and The Flaming Lips, and on top of that, the first six songs released have all been inventive in their own unique way.
