Merge Records Anniversary Celebrations presents a Visual Discography of their first 20 years.
They’ve accomplished a sold out festival, a sold out subscription box set, and a behind-the-scenes look. Now they are putting out The Merge Records Companion: A Visual Discography of the First Twenty Years.
Merge Records presents a 350-page limited-edition paperback book. This cd-sized volume includes photographs of every 7-inch album, EP and DVD (plus two cassettes!) they’ve released over the past twenty years. For design fans, there are more than 300 photos showing the creations of their album cover design over the past two decades. For music history buffs, the founders of the label, Mac McCaughan and Laura Ballance include personal essays about their early days when they had to prepare album covers themselves. The proceeds of this limited-edition and all proceeds will benefit the charities chosen by the fourteen Score! curators.
