Turntable.fm Counts Kanye West and Lady Gaga As Investors

Opening to the public in May, the New York based start-up, Turntable.fm has spun about substantial investments over the last couple months.  With major venture captialist Union Square Ventures as their lead investor, the social networking DJ-site has also received financial backing from Kanye West and Lady Gaga in their latest round of investment.

Gaga’s “Born This Way” Exceeds Expectation

Lady Gaga’s sophomore album “Born This Way” has officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 1,108,000 copies sold in its release week, also snatching up the renown of becoming the 17th album to sell a million copies in a week since SoundScan began tracking sales data in twenty years ago. Lady Gaga Album Sale Spikes Amazon

Last Monday on Amazon.com, a special sale of Lady Gaga’s, Born This Way, album drew in a massive influx of traffic causing a lag spike which slowed downloads to a crawl.  Though the high volume of traffic swamped Amazon’s bandwidth, those who made a legitimate purchase of the album on May 23 got the full album.

Lady Gaga Reveals Strange Cover Art for Born This Way
