On Saturday, October 27, Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and the rest of Jane’s Addiction will conclude their current tour with a headlining gig at the Wiltern. Opening the night will be Thenewno2, the experimental/indie act fronted by Dhani Harrison (George’s son).
Jane’s Addiction are touring in support of 2011’s The Great Escape Artist, while Thenewno2 recently released their new album, Thefearofmissingout back on July 31st.
Tickets for this Wiltern show are on sale this Friday at 10 AM via Live Nation, and cost $62.50-$84.20 after fees.

On Wednesday, August 15, art-alt-rock legends Jane’s Addiction brought their Theater of the Escapists tour to the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia. Starting with the founding of Lollapalooza in 1991, Perry Farrell and company (but mostly Farrell) have striven to make their live shows an experience rather than a mere concert. Their popularity may have waned in the wake of lineup changes, hiatuses and sub-par (by Jane’s Addiction’s fans’ standards) releases, this ambition has remained no less vital. Read more…

Lollapalooza, the 20-year-old festival founded by Jane’s Addiction frontman, Perry Farrell, has just announced festival lineups for both Brazil and Chile. This year marks the first-ever Lollapalooza Brazil, taking place at the Jockey Club in São Paulo April 7-8, 20012. The second edition of Lollapalooza Chile is set in O’Higgins Park in Santiago March 31-April 1, 2012.
