GWAR Unveils New Vocalist Character Blothar Played by Michael Bishop

The fifth-annual metal festival GWAR-B-Q took place this past weekend. Late GWAR frontman, Dave ‘Oderus Urungus’ Brockie was honored in a viking funeral that featured a speech from Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe and an appearance from Dead Kennedy’s Jello Biafra as his costume burned aboard a ship. Cause of Death for GWAR’s Dave Brockie Revealed As Accidental Heroin Overdose

When mxdwn originally brought you the saddening news that Dave Brockie, better known to most as Oderus Urungus, the lead singer of GWAR, had passed away, there was no definitive cause of death. Now according to CBS6, the Virginia State Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that he died of an accidental heroin overdose, in his home on March 23rd.
