It feels as though Ms. Badu needs no introduction. She wears many hats, and it’s possible that you know about her through many avenues. A songstress of over a decade, the “Queen of Neo-Soul” is also an activist, and record label owner. Andre 3000 wrote ‘Ms. Jackson’ about her, the Dallas police dept. doesn’t get her art, and Wayne Coyne learned via twitter not to make her angry. However you’ve come to know about this uber-talented lady, you should invest your evening in seeing her live. There’s so much mood, and soul in her music, and it has a richness to it that only a true spoken word artist, such as Ms. Badu, can bring to the stage. Pain, love, heartache, joy, anger, disappointment, and enlightenment. It’s all there, and then some.
