Producer Guillermo S. Herren (aka Prefuse 73) and photographer Angel Ceballos will launch a new record label this June, Yellow Year. A twelve volume series of collaborative material is planned for release on the label.
At midnight last night Boards of Canada premiered a video at a busy intersection in Tokyo that probably contains new music from their upcoming album, their first in seven years.
Have you ever gulped down a refreshing glass of water and thought to yourself, “Hey, you know what’d make this better? ALCOHOL.”
….
No?
Well, the people over at VICEapparently have (they are party peeps extraordinaires after all): they’ve decided to team up with Air to present a series of electronic dance sessions launching this shocking product all throughout the country.
What exactly is Air, you ask?
Put down that gin and tonic and ready yourself: Air is an “innovative new carbonated water with alcohol” (yes, as in the thing that makes you drunk/horny/loud/annoying). How much alcohol exactly? 4% every 12 oz. So we’re not talking 4Loko status here (bummer…) (pause for a moment of nostalgia tinged with regret), but “innovative” is right. Now you can hydrate yourself and get drunk at the same time! Could this be the end to hangovers?? (Probably not – not until you get rid of that tequila problem, that is.)
If water infused with alcohol isn’t enough to get you to this party (what are you, like soberor something??), renegade French electronic artist/all around cool guy Sébastien Tellier will be there to headline the LA event. And the best part? The party is TOTES FREE.
