Bonnaroo 2014: Day Four

Sun-baked, slightly dehydrated and still wearing glow sticks from the previous nights, everyone felt the fourth day of Bonnaroo Music Festival sneak up. Nevertheless, in Bonnaroo fashion, it did not dampen any of the festivities. A cardboard neon cutout of Hank from King of the Hill with the words “Turn Down For What?” written underneath the image made this clear. With that mantra still in the Tennessee air, it was easy to see that although it was the last day, it did not mute the excitement for the bands to come. Read more…

Bonnaroo 2014: Day Three

The clouds withheld their rain, opting instead to roll on by; but that did not stop the heat from cranking up for day three on The Farm. ‘Roovians trudged from their campsites wielded a variety of sticks to help spot their clans, carried umbrellas to hide from the heat or bared it all to soak up the sun. Over in Centeroo, Bonnaroo’s signature watering hole called The Fountain, along with a fifty-foot inflatable waterslide and slip-n-slide, was all the rage throughout the day. Bonnaroo 2014: Day One

With the summer season in full swing, an abundance of music festivals are popping up all over the United States, but none are as unique and nostalgic of Woodstock’s vibe than Manchester, Tennessee’s Bonnaroo – a festival tucked away from all of Nashvillle’s city lights, paved asphalt streets and disconnected from the rest of the world. Over the span of four days, tens of thousands of music fans flock to Bonnaroo, a hidden music community, in order to run off of the connectivity of music. Those lucky enough to camp on 700 acre property called “The Farm,” pull all of the stunts in order to personalize their tents with kites, glow stick chandeliers and garlands to decorate. Several hours have passed since the gates had officially opened and the wooden fences paving the way to the entrance of it all are already covered in a plethora of graffiti. Patrons take advantage to settle in and capture the positivity shown in peace signs and swirls of colorful art that seem to be growing as each hour ticks by. Read more…

Danzig Loses His Cool Over a Photographer Shooting His Set at Bonnaroo

As reported by Antiquiet, ex-Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig freaked out at Bonnaroo this weekend when a photographer started snapping pictures during his performance in That Tent.  Apparently, Danzig reacted so strongly because he specifically requested that there be no media there to film or photograph his set.  Learn more and check out some videos capturing the ordeal after the jump.
