Photos: Menomena Live at El Rey Theatre Los Angeles

On tour with their new album, Moms, Menomena is a sight to see. Anyone who has seen them before will know that they always bring a really vibrant energy to the venue, which quickly spreads amongst the crowd. They didn’t fail to impress at their El Rey show. Justin Harris and Denny Seim almost seem to have a conversation on stage, as they stand out individually but also never fall out of sync. It doesn’t take much to tell that every single person on stage is completely dedicated to the moment they’re in, and the crowd is happy to follow. If they’re near by, make sure to check them out.

The Features Live at the Bootleg Bar 2/3/2012

The Features playing at the Bootleg Bar this year was one of those rare instances of the right elements combining in a single event. The band had the proper experience and the energy to use the stage, playing an intimate crowd who came out because of their genuine interest in this particular Tennessee-based indie band. They did a great job of sounding harmonious, yet letting each member shine through, all while while getting the audience ecstatic. With their ability to give the audience just the right idea of what they’re all about, they leave no question as to why they have such a loyal following around the world. Read more…
