Grammy Nominations Announced

December 3rd, 2009

The 2010 Grammy nominations, which will be televised live on Jan. 31 on CBS, have been announced and women are leading the pack this year. Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, who are all nominated for Record of the Year, lead the nominees with 10, 8 and 5 nominations respectively. The rest of the category comprises of musical groups The Black Eyed Peas and Kings of Leon.

The Rakes Split Up, Canceling US and UK Tours

The Rakes, a punk-rock group from North London, UK, has just announced that they are parting ways. The band, which was formed by Alan Donohoe, Matthew Swinnerton, Jamie Hornsmith and Lasse Petersen in 2002, has decided that the split will be effective immediately and have canceled their upcoming US and UK tours. Rammstein Release New Single “Pussy”

Rammstein will release “Pussy,” the first single off their new album, on September 22 and will only be available on iTunes. The Berlin based group hasn’t released any new music in four years but their last record sold 3 million albums in the US alone.

The Rakes Release ‘Klang’ for Digital Download/Tour Dates
