Odd Future’s frontman, Tyler, The Creator, has again found himself the topic of public criticism after firing a slew of hateful, violent remarks into an applauding audience while onstage during his Australian Tour. Although no stranger to sharp criticism for violent language within his music, the rapper was unaware at the time of the show that the individual toward whom he was directing his remarks was in the audience and happened to catch his words on video. Same ‘ol Song and Dance
Homophobic. Outlandish. Explicit. All of these adjectives have been used to summarize Tyler, The Creator’s previous works, but on his 3rd release Wolf he’s aiming to mature some, or at least as much as one could expect him to. During a Spin interview in 2011, Tyler stated, “Talking about rape and cutting bodies up, it just doesn’t interest me anymore… What interests me is making weird hippie music for people to get high to.” The question on everybody’s mind though is: did he follow through?

Following rumors that Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All member Frank Ocean’s upcoming album Channel Orange had lyrics that hinted at him being a bisexual, the artist has just posted a detailed and personal statement on his Tumblr that appears to indicate as much is true, and that he is either gay or bisexual. According to Ocean, the words were supposed to appear in the liner notes for Channel Orange. Here they appear as a screen captured image of the text typed in a Mac TextEdit program. The text indicates that it was written on a plane while Ocean was on a plane coming back to Los Angeles from New Orleans.
