December 31st, 2013

Beck covered John Lennon’s “Love” for a Valentine’s Day compilation from Starbucks.

The album is called Sweetheart 14 with the subtitle “Our Favorite Artists Play Their Favorite Love Songs,” according to Prefix Magazine. It also includes a cover of Bob Marley’s “Turn the Lights Down Low” by Jim James, as well as other tracks recorded by Fiona Apple, Phosphorescent, Vampire Weekend and more.

The song is now streaming on Soundcloud, but you can pick up the full album at Starbucks on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

Beck has his own album on the horizon as well, which will also drop in February. He confirmed that it has been held back a bit due to some health issues. You can watch him perform a track from Morning Phase, “Wave,” live at his Song Reader performance.
