Earlier this year, Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced their forthcoming album Mosquito. Now further details have been released about the record as well as their first single from it, “Sacrilege.” Read on for more details.

The group has surely kept busy, especially with their recent announcement that they will be appearing at SXSW 2013 for the NPR Music Showcase. As if that wasn’t enough, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are curating the lineup for ATP I’ll Be Your Mirror festival event in May.

They are doing a really great job at making sure their fans constantly hear their music throughout the year of 2013. Singer Karen O. states:

We would love for this music to make our fans feeeeel something, for it to stir some shit up inside of them, whatever that may be. SO much feeling went into this record, it was the rope ladder thrown down into the ditch for us to climb up and dust ourselves off. I hope others can climb up it too; we’re excited to share the good vibes.
