Orion Music Festival Announces 2013 Lineup Including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Bassnectar and More
Metallica have announced the lineup of their second annual Orion Music Festival. Full details following the jump.
Metallica have unveiled the lineup of the second annual Orion Music Festival featuring headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Bassnectar, Deftones and Dropkick Murphys. Orion Music Festival will take place on June 8th and 9th at Belle Isle in Detroit, MI. Tickets for the festival are $150 for a two day pass and can be purchased from the Orion website. Tickets go on sale on March 1st but there is a pre-sale that begins on February 27th. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich released a statement regarding the second Orion Music + More fest:
“Last year’s Orion Music + More Festival was hands down the highlight of the Metallica calendar. A great time was had by all, especially the band members… The fact that it also resonated with enough of our fans and friends that it warrants another go-around in ‘13 is beyond exciting. I can think of no better place than the Motor City, with its rich and diverse history of music, for the second ride on our Orion festival train.”
Last year’s Orion Music + More festival took place in Atlantic City and featured Metallica playing a rare performance of Ride The Lightning in its entirety. You can watch the trailer and read the entire Orion Music + More Festival lineup below.
