Portlandia and SNL star Fred Armisen played Bowery Ballroom in NYC last night, and he filled the stage with a good number of well-known musicians. The song that really stole the spotlight was their rockin’ take on TLC’s “Waterfalls”, however.

Joining Armisen were Marnie Stern, Yo La Tengo’s James McNew, Les Savy Fav’s Tim Harrington, Sixpence None the Richer’s Leigh Nash, Telekinesis’ Michael Lerner and Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws. The song had plenty of great moments, but the reenactment of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ infamous rap is truly one to behold.
