Kurt Vile & The Violators @ Union Transfer 5/18

Philadelphia’s own “constant hit maker” Kurt Vile returns this year with the follow up to his excellent 2011 release Smoke Ring For My Halo. His new album, Wakin On A Pretty Daze will be out on April 9th via Matador Records. Coming in at 69 minutes, the John Angello produced release will be a double album. Vile has already made headlines with tapped local graffiti artist/muralist Steve Powers to create a giant mural in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia.
To go along with his new album, Kurt Vile will be bringing himself and the Violators out on the road. Starting with the double weekend Coachella festival in Indio,CA, the tour ends in his hometown of Phiadelphia on 5/18 for a special record release show at Union Transfer. Angel Olsen and Steve Gunn share the bill.
