Anika Announces New Self-Titled EP Set for April 2013 Release

Stones Throw will release Anika’s self-titled EP on April 16th.

As a follow up to her 2010 debut album, Anika’s latest project will include covers of songs by The Kinks, The Crystals, Chromatics, and Shocking Blue. The singer, who splits time between Bristol and Berlin, recorded the EP with help from Beak> members Billy Fuller and Matt Williams, along with Andy Sutor and Rasha Shaheen. Production from Ratman is also featured on dub versions of “Yang Yang” and “No One’s There” to close out the EP. Listen to her cover of Chromatics’ “In the City” below the track listing:
