Maynard James Keenan Says There Will Be No New Tool Album in 2013
It looks like Tool fans will have to continue waiting for the LA rockers to release a new album.
Singer Maynard James Keenan, whose side project Puscifer (see their Jimmy Kimmel Live performance) recently released a cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, revealed that he has not worked on any new songs for Tool, thus there are no anticipated projects for this year. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since he’s been so busy with Puscifer, who will release an EP this month. Tool, meanwhile, has not released an album since 2006’s 10,000 Days, which is no doubt how long it’s felt for fans waiting for new material. Any hopes of a project being released soon were dashed recently when an undisclosed band member was injured in a scooter accident, further pushing back any writing or rehearsal sessions.
