Petty Fest San Francisco @ The Fillmore 2/27

L.A. brought the decade-old NYC Petty Fest to it’s El Rey Theatre in November to a sold out audience. Of course the surprise celeb guests were brought in, and in LA that included Johnny Depp, Keisha, Justin Bartha, and Sarah Silverman, as well as members of The Strokes, The Black Keys, Guster, and Alberta Cross to join in solos and tracks within the solid line-up of bands to play Tom Petty albums. The 2012 NYC Petty Fest saw the likes of Albert Hammond, Cyndi Lauper, and Father John Misty. Here, at The Fillmore, the Cabin Down Below Band will again be the backbone of the tunes but performances will feature Tom Johnston of The Doobie Brothers, Tim Bluhm of The Mother Hips, The Strokes, and more (to be a surprise)! Any Tom Petty fan, or appreciator, is sure to have a blast at this concert. And 100% of proceeds go to benefit Sweet Relief – a musicians fund to help disabled or ill music veterans. Tickets will sell out!
