Lots of reunions are taking place in 2013 – the most recent of which is Black Flag. The hardcore band is reuniting with their 1979 lineup as Pitchfork reports.

The band is reuniting for the UK hardcore, punk and metal festival, Hevy Fest. The reunited band will feature Greg Ginn, Ron Reyes (who was in Black Flag 1979-1980), and Robo. Unfortunately bassists Chuck Dukowski will not be involved in the reunion. This lineup harkens back to a period before Henry Rollins joined, but after Keith Morris had split.

The band has been largely inactive since 1986. However, they have had several one-off appearances – some as late as 2010.

The festival takes place in Kent, England August 2-5th.

UPDATE
Black Flag members Greg Ginn and Ron Reyes will not be reforming the band with Robo after all, but are taking on Gergory Moore as the drummer. The pseudonym Dale Nixon is also being announced as the band’s bassist.
