Black Flag’s Greg Ginn and Professional Skateboarder Mike Vallely Form New Band Good For You
Black Flag may be over, but guitarist Greg Ginn still has plans to stay in music. Ginn has teamed up with professional skateboarder and musician Mike Vallely (also known as Mike V) to form a rock band, Good For You.

Following a series of shows in which Mike V and the Rats supported Greg Ginn in 2003, the two musicians formed a friendship and intended to keep in touch in order to create music together. In February 2012, this intention was carried out when Ginn presented Vallely with new music. The result of the duo’s songwriting chemistry is the upcoming release Life is Too Short to Not Hold a Grudge.
Vallely comments:
Greg and I had been talking about writing music together for many years. There was no real plan in place to ‘team up’ or anything like that. It was more so just about the music. Creatively and artistically we just found a common road and from that came an output that became this new music and this new record…Working with Greg really opened me up as a writer and vocalist. His approach to writing, recording and producing was so free that for the first time I feel I was really able to honestly express myself in the studio.

Life is Too Short… will be released on Febrary 26, 2013. Check out the track listing below.
