DIIV with Wax Idols @ Brick and Mortar 3/2
January 13th, 2013

DIIV, a rising Brooklyn indie rock band formed only a little over a year ago, has achieved a spot on a few top new tunes list for 2012 across the interweb with their debut album, Oshin. The band consists of Zachary Cole Smith, a guitarist from Beach Fossils, who teamed up with guitarist Andrew Bailey, bassist Devin Ruben Perez, and drummer Colby Hewitt of Smith Westerns. The Nirvana-influenced 4-piece craft a sound that is a blur between late-80’s underground Seattle songcraft and dream-pop instrumental. They play live on the final day of San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival.
