Consequence of Sound is reporting Against Me! have parted ways with their drummer Jay Weinberg. Weinberg had played with Against Me! for over two years and is notable for being the son of legendary E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg.

Immediately after Weinberg made the announcement frontwoman Laura Jane Grace started recruiting a new drummer on Twitter. Timing was of the essence as the new drummer needed to learn all the songs in time for the band’s tour later this month.

The new drummer is Atam “Atom” Willard. Willard was the drummer of Rocket from the Crypt and has worked with Weezer, Angels and Airwaves, The Offspring and Social Distortion.
