After getting kicked from the Miami, Fla. nightclub, Mansion, for playing material deemed “too confusing” last month, prominent hip-hop artist DJ Shadow has now come forth with the offending set, which according to Shadow, was ruled “too future” by the show’s promoters.

None too pleased by the incident, the famous DJ’s ouster also garnered a livid response from fans, forcing the club to make a formal apology to the artist and those in attendance. The statement reads as follows:

We offer our most sincere apologies to DJ Shadow and his fans for his set being cut short at Mansion this past weekend. This error should not have happened and will not happen again, especially as we pride ourselves on creating an environment that cultivates and respects innovators such as DJ Shadow. We have learned a lot from this error and made changes within our organization to ensure that Mansion’s vision, and the vision of our guests, will never be compromised again.

Nevertheless, DJ Shadow uploaded the mix in question—called “All Basses Covered (The Infamous South Beach Set, December 2012)”—on SoundCloud over the weekend. So now’s your chance to click below and hear what irked the club owners that fateful night. Warning: It may get “too future” for you.
