Listen: Kathleen Hanna’s The Julie Ruin Releases Stream of New Single “Girls Like Us”
December 28th, 2012
As mxdwn reported earlier this month, Kathleen Hanna is back with a full band and a new single. As Consequence of Sound reported, her solo project, The Julie Ruin, has now become a full-band effort with the aid of former Bikini Bill bandmate Kathi Wilcox. The lineup also includes Kiki and Herb member Kenny Mellman, Carmine Covelli, and Sara Landeau.

The new single, “Girls Like Us” (Click here to listen), is a contribution to a series inspired by T. Cooper’s new book, Real Man Adventures. The collection will be available on Cooper’s book tour.
The band is also working on a full-length album and is currently collaborating with James Murphy.
