Seattle indie rockers Mudhoney will drop their 9th studio album, Vanishing Point, in April 2013.

The band, which has been together for over 20 years, has not released a full studio album since 2008’s The Lucky Ones. As founding member Mark Arm (Mark McLaughlin) explains, “We amassed a pile of riffs and ideas, and I went through them and tried to come up with words that suited them.  Pretty exciting.”  The album was put together over the course of two intense weekends in April and September at Seattle’s Avast! Recording Co.

With the release of this new album, the band is now discussing embarking on a European tour this summer, possibly followed by a tour of the US.
