UR1 Festival 2012 Postponed Due to Windy Weather Forecast
November 27th, 2012
Miami-Dade’s two-day festival known as UR1, which had been set for the weekend of December 8th and 9th, has been postponed owing to inclement weather.
As reported here by mxdwn, this would have been Miami’s inaugural UR1 Music & Art Festival; however, with Hurricane Sandy’s destruction still fresh in everyone’s mind, organizers did not want to risk having performers and concertgoers withstand high winds.
UR1 will collaborate with promoters in the South Florida area to stage shows by artists scheduled to perform at the festival, and tickets will also be accepted as passes for Art Basel Miami Beach. Should ticketholders decide to pass on this offer, they may also receive a refund. UR1’s website will soon provide a list with events that will accept festival tickets as passes.
