It feels as though if you love the English pop due known as The xx, telling you that they will be in town is a bit on the redundant side because you have already rabidly bought tickets the minute this show was announced. For the more casual fan, or the die hards who it may have slipped past, here it is. The xx is rolling through Austin in February in support of their follow up to 2009’s self titled release, Coexist. The band writes: “After a long time on the road, we took a break, created our own studio and wrote these new songs that we’re so looking forward to playing to you.” Surely this will be a very special night for fans of the xx, who haven’t seen their faces live in quite some time, and a great show for all. It is most surprising that this show is not already sold out, as the Dallas show sold out in about 5 minutes. So, if you plan on being in attendence, get those tickets quick like a bunny!
