Coheed and Cambria have made a career out of a sci-fi adventure. Starting with their first album The Second Stage Turbine Blade they have been telling the story of The Armory Wars. Each album has been a concept album containing another chapter of the complicated outer space adventure. After 2010’s Year of the Black Rainbow the future of Coheed and Cambria was up in the air because the whole story of The Armory Wars had been told. Instead of fading away Coheed lead-singer Claudio Sanchez wrote a new spin off story related to The Armory Wars and turned it into double album The Aftermath.

The first part The Aftermath: Ascension came out in October of this year. The Aftermath: Descension is set to be released February 5th, 2013. Immediately after the album’s release Coheed and Cambria will hit the road for a North American tour.
