Soulfly’s Frontman Max Cavalera To Form New Band with Members from Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, and Mars Volta

Although the super-band is yet to be named, Max Cavalera’s musical science experiment is sure to make more than waves.
As Antiquiet mentioned in an article, Greg Puciato of the Dillinger Escape Plan, Troy Sanders of Mastodon, Nate Newton of Converge and former Mars Volta member Dave Elitch, will all join Cavalera in his quest to form the ultimate heavy metal band. Cavalera mentioned in an interview that he hoped the group would be something like a metal version of the Transplants. However, this supergroup sounds more like the heavy metal band that formed a while back, which even included members from some of the same bands as Cavalera’s supergroup. The band will hit the ground running with this project starting with writing the music in December then will move into recording in January.
