Estranged New Order Bassist Peter Hook to Tour His Band’s First Two Albums
Original New Order bassist Peter Hook plans to tour playing albums Movement and Power, Corruption, and Lies with his new band The Light.
New Order and their original bassist haven’t been on good terms for a few years. It began when te band reformed in 2011 without Hook. Hook responded by suing his former bandmates. Now NME reports Hook is now planning on taking his current band The Light on tour to specifically play New Order’s first two albums Movement and Power, Corruption and Lies.
This isn’t the first time Peter Hook is tour with a previous band’s material. The Light has been playing Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures and Closer, another band he was a part of. Hook explains his reasoning behind touring with Joy Division material in a video below. His reasons for touring with New Order material hasn’t been reported yet.
