The Hideout Block Party & A.V. Fest Announces 2012 Lineup Featuring Wilco, Glen Hansard and More
The Hideout Block Party (Chicago’s venerable venue for live music) and A.V. Club’s (The Onion’s arts & entertainment section) first-ever joint music festival will take place on Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15, 2012. The tickets for the event will be sold as two-day passes. The limited early-bird passes, priced at $40 and $50 plus fees, are sold out and the $60 plus fees passes are now available. Children ages 10 and under will not need tickets for the event. $4 of each ticket will go towards a number of Chicago charities that include Rock for Kids, Literacy Works, Drummond Elementary School, and Oscar Mayer Magnet School.
The event is a two-day all-ages pass for September 14 – 15, 2012 (rain or shine event). Tickets are sold exclusively online. Buy Tickets
On Twitter, featured performer Glen Hansard tweeted and posted a flyer for the event.

The event asks that concertgoers do not bring: instruments, knives/weapons etc., chains, blankets, outside food & beverage, camelbacks bota bags, tents, flags, chairs, video cameras, audio recording devices, pets, drugs and drug paraphernalia fireworks
Last year, the Hideout featured a sold-out show by headliners Andrew Bird and Mavis Staples. The Hideout Block Party is known for being an all-ages friendly music festival with food, drinks and a kids play area available for families to enjoy.
