Live Nation Has Purchased HARD Events
Mass entertainment company Live Nation has purchased LA based electronic music promotion HARD Events.
Live Nation, one of the world’s largest concert promoting groups and entertainment companies, has purchased HARD Events according to The New York Times. HARD Events is an LA based electronic music promotion that specializes in music festivals in North America. The financial details have not been disclosed.
The deal will bring EDM to a wider audience as more money will be put into electronic music events. Gary Richards, the founder of HARD Events, issued a statement about what he plans to do with HARD Event’s merger:
“The reason I’m different from other festivals is that I bring the new thing, develop it and bring it to the masses. This will only be able to help, because now instead of just L.A. and New York, I will be able to do this in South Africa, South America. It’s only a good thing.”
