Lower Dens w/ No Joy & Alan Resnick
Tues June 26th
Doors @ 8
Slight distortion lost in waves of melodic atmosphere. Lower Dens does sound in some amazing ways with layered vocals calling like sirens through a fog of heavy synths. It’s great music to get lost in. No Joy is also a great listen, like grunge, but done up in a shoegaze disguise, with a real heavy gravitational pull at the center of their songs. They just released some new noise called ‘Negaverse,’ mixed by Sune Rose Wagner of The Raveonettes. Very surfy, and gritty, but lots of pop elements too. You have just got to listen to it to understand, and feel free to thank us once you do because it’s wonderful. Be sure to show up early to catch comedian/visual artist Alan Resnick, he’s a blast.
