SXSW 2012 Announces Fourth Round of Showcasing Bands Including Lana Del Rey, The Ting Tings, The Black Angels, Andrew WK, Anika and More
The fourth wave of band announcements has been released for the massive SXSW 2012 festival, now including performances from Best Coast, Lana Del Rey The Ting Tings, The Black Angels, Andrew WK, Anika and many, many others. The celebrated film/art/music/culture festival runs from March 9-18, and the musical portion of the festival begins March 13. Check out the full line-up announcement after the jump:
The lengthy lineup for SXSW 2012 was first announced in early November, with a second and third wave of announcements following. The line-up so far is nothing short of incredible, featuring artists from all across the globe, including a special keynote speech from Bruce Springsteen.
Some previously confirmed acts are Built to Spill, The Magnetic Fields, Talib Kweli, Against Me!, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Cloud Nothings, who will be joining Best Coast, Lana Del Rey The Ting Tings, The Black Angels, Andrew WK, Anika, M. Ward, of Montreal, ASAP Rocky, Danny Brown, Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, and many others.
Well known acts like the Counting Crows, Hot Water Music and Corrosion of Conformity and Hellogoodbye will be joining fresher faces like Gauntlet Hair, Thundercat, The War on Drugs, Youth Lagoon, and Tennis. Though previously slated to perform, the Polyphonic Spree will not be playing this years SXSW 2012.
Ranging in diversity from Asking Alexandria to Asher Roth; from John Mayer to Borgore; SXSW2012 is sure to have something in store that everyone will love no matter there musical disposition.
