As reported by Pitchfork, Franz Ferdinand recently released the Covers EP on this year’s Record Day. The album features different bands covering Franz’s 2009 LP Tonight. LCD Soundsystem took on the track “Live Alone” and you can check out the music video after the jump:

Directed by Lustix, the video is a montage of traveling throughout a city, zipping through the glowing trails of speeding car’s brake lights and scaling the graffiti covered walls of the subway to the rooftops of apartment buildings, the pulsing beat now and again being accented with close-up shots of electrical components, glowing lights and wires.
