The second annual October’s Very Own (OVO) festival, held at Toronto’s Molson Ampitheatre, brought together the unlikely combination of Nas, Lil Wayne and “My Cherie Amour” himself, Stevie Wonder, for a star-studded set from the event’s organizer, Drake.drake2

With the release of his sophomore album Take Care looming on the horizon, Drake’s inclusion of artists like Nas, Lil Wayne and Stevie Wonder—and also Rick Ross, J. Cole, The Weeknd and others—echoes last year’s festivities, which included performances from hip-hop heavyweights Jay Z and Eminem.

J. Cole joined Drake for their collaboration, “In the Morning,” praising the rapper for helping him to reach the level of fame and talent at which he currently stands.  The duet was short-lived, however, with Nas jumping on stage to perform “Made You Look” and “If I Ruled the World.”

From there, it was time for some Stevie, which only makes sense considering that he contributed music to half a dozen tracks on Drake’s upcoming album.  Wonder took the stage for a six-song set that included hits such as “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” “My Cherie Amour” and “Superstition.”

Following a performance with the Weeknd for the track “Trust Issues,” Drake brought out Lil Wayne to the 15,000-strong crowd and performed several tracks, including Drake’s “Miss Me,” Wayne’s “6 Foot 7 Foot” and DJ Khaled’s hit, “I’m On One.”

Now that’s a hell of a show.  Check out some performance clips below:
