Following the cancellation of their Dallas show Friday due to lead singer Caleb Followill suddenly leaving the stage, Kings Of Leon have decided to cancel their remaining U.S. tour dates.  The band, citing vocal issues and exhaustion as the reason for cancellation, plan on returning to the road in late September.

A band spokesperson published the following statement on their website in regards to the tour cancellation.

We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break.

For ticket holders of the now canceled tour refunds will be given either at the venue or via the online means through which the tickets were purchased.  Since the band has commitments to their international tour schedule, the canceled U.S. dates will not be rescheduled.

The only show which has been rescheduled is their Sept. 28 show at Rogers Center in Vancouver, BC.  The Canadian tour date was originally scheduled for Sept. 14.

As previously reported, during last Friday’s show singer Caleb Followill unexpectedly told the crowd in Dallas that he needed to leave the stage momentarily.  Followill stated that he had to vomit, then planned on drinking a beer before returning to the stage for three more songs.

However, Followill never returned to the stage forcing his band members to conclude the show while expressing their deep apologies to the crowd for the shortened concert.

Though the reason for Caleb Followill’s departure from the stage in Dallas has been cited as heat exhaustion and dehydration, other problems also linger for the Followill quartet.

Although Caleb’s brothers Nathan and Jared substantiated his heat exhaustion stating, “the heat got the best of a few of us,” Jared stated via Twitter two days ago that exhaustion is not the only problem haunting the band.

There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed, said Jared Followill via Twitter last Friday.
