Lady Gaga Reveals Strange Cover Art for Born This Way

This past Friday, Lady Gaga revealed the album cover for her upcoming album, Born This Way, via a late night tweet.  Consisting of Gaga’s arms and head jointed into the front half of a Meatloaf-style motorcycle, some fans assumed that the cover was a joke.

Gaga confirmed with a later tweet that the cover, as seen above, is indeed the album art, as evidenced by the singer holding a printed copy of the piece.

Response to the over-the-top Born This Way cover has been largely negative, though Rolling Stone pointed out in February that the album leans toward the heavy metal spectrum.

Born This Way is scheduled for a May 23 release.
