A small riot broke out outside of the legendary Key Club during a TSOL show in Los Angeles, CA yesterday after bouncers got into a tussle with members of the veteran punk act’s audience.  Maybe punk’s really not dead.

The riot reportedly broke out at about 10:30 pm after bouncers and patrons outside of the club began fighting. Shortly after the fight broke out, police showed up and were met with a hail of rocks and bottles.

The show was shut down after a club-goer reportedly broke a bouncer’s nose, and Youth Brigade, TSOL’s supporting act, was not able to perform their set.

Sherriff’s deputies then shut down the Sunset Strip and called for backup, which was provided by the LAPD and Beverly Hills officers.  Police officers reportedly fired pepper balls into the rioting crowd in response to their unruly behavior.

According to LA Weekly, police continued to shut down clubs in the surrounding area in an effort to maintain control over the situation.  Patrons were forcibly cleared from the street unless they voluntarily left or stayed in the club.

Ultimately, police arrested six people—three for fighting, three for throwing rocks and bottles—and two additional patrons were injured. The riot ended by 2:00 am according to eyewitness reports.
