Beastie Boys’ Mike D has confirmed their album Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2 after bandmate Adam Yauch’s all clear from cancer.

Mike D told BBC Radio 1 how happy the trio was about Yauch’s condition from cancer, which he was diagnosed with in July 2009.

He then went on to talk about album details saying that while Pt. 1 is still delayed, “The second one is coming out as originally scheduled.”

Mike then finished with details on an upcoming music video that’s going to be “big.”  He said “I know people don’t make big videos any more but we made a big video. It’s not even a video, it’s a film-eo. A cinematic, short film.”

On Jan. 7, Adam Yauch released a statement responding to all of the press regarding his cancer.

“While  I’m grateful for all the positive energy people are sending my way, reports of my being totally cancer free are exaggerated.

I’m continuing treatment, staying optimistic and hoping to be cancer free in the near future.”
