Filmmaker David Lynch makes music debut
November 29th, 2010
Acclaimed filmmaker David Lynch is trying on a new set of shoes, officially releasing his first electronic single today to iTunes.
“Good Day Today,” backed by b-side “I Know,” is being released via U.K. indie label Sunday Best Recordings. Lynch handles lead vocal as well as production duties. Said Lynch of the release,
In all my films, I have always been very involved with all that one hears. The creation of this record was a natural extension of my love of sound and music.”
Sunday Best has commissioned a set of remixes of the single for release in January. That release will feature artwork from Vaughan Oliver, graphic designer behind album covers by Pixies, The Breeders and Cocteau Twins.
