The Latest On Japanese Music Scene: 3D Hologram Rockstar
November 11th, 2010
Hatsune Miku is on the rise in Japan, quickly becoming a pop idol. Her shows attract thousands of fans decked out in glow-wear and neon fashion and can be found dancing and singing along with glow sticks in hand. However, Hatsune Miku isn’t just Japan’s Miley Cyrus. She’s nothing more than a virtual avatar and a figment of the imagination. She…it…is just a 3D hologram. Created by Crypton Media using Yamaha’s Vocaloid voice synthesizer, virtual pop stars are just another branch of Japanese fame. Check out videos of Hatsune Miku after the jump.
