Dirty Projectors/Björk Collaboration To Come Out June 30th
Prolific experimental rock band Dirty Projectors have teamed up with magical Icelandic pixie Björk to record an EP, Mount Wittenberg Orca, which is set to drop this week. Click “read more” for more info. The collaboration came about as the result of a set that Dirty Projectors and Björk did together at a New York benefit show. Before the concert, Dirty Projectors’ Amber Coffman saw a family of whales while walking along California’s Mount Wittenberg, Björk was duly called, and now we can look forward to a concept (?) album in which Björk “[sings] the part of the mom whale…[Dirty Projectors'] Amber and Angel and Haley [sing] the part of the kid whales” and Dirty Projector’s Dave Longstreth sings the part of Amber.
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Ocean
2. On and Ever Onward
3. When the World Comes to an End
4. Beautiful Mother
5. Sharing Orb
6. No Embrace
7. All We Are
