Wakey!Wakey! Releases Debut Single, “Twenty-Two”

Wakey!Wakey! has released the debut single, “Twenty-Two,” off of their sophomore LP to be released March 16 via Family Records/Timber Street. With two live LPs, a free collection of covers, last Spring’s War Sweater EP and a recurring role on the WB’s “One Tree Hill” already under his belt, Wakey!Wakey!’s front man Michael Grubb didn’t hold himself back on the new album. “We set out to make an album this time,” explains Grubbs. “I realize that’s not where people say this business is headed these days, but there’s something about translating a year’s worth of experience into ten songs and letting that tell the story. I feel lucky to have the chance to do that on my own terms.”
