Impromptu Busking by famed musicians in Dublin: Hansard, Bono, Rice & Mundy

What a surprise for Dublin’s Christmas eve shoppers who spotted Bono, Glen Hansard of the Swell Season, Damien Rice and Mundy busking! This hour-long impromptu performance on Grafton Street raised money for the Simon Community, a charity organization helping Ireland’s homeless. The famous musicians sung Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me’, Dylan’s ‘Knocking on Heaven’s Door’ and Mic Christopher’s ‘Hey Day’. Several passerby’s posted links on You Tube.

Hansard is known for his role in the Oscar winning movie, “Once” where his character also performed on Grafton Street with his partner in Swell Season Marketa Irglova.
