Easily one of the best albums of 2007, A Place to Bury Strangers’ self-titled debut might be a hard act to top, but all the people who lavished praise on the effort are sure to enjoy hearing them try. Their sophomore effort, Exploding Head is set for release October 6.

According to vocalist/guitarist Oliver Ackermann:

The original idea was to create the craziest, most f’ed-up recording ever.

October 6, 2009 just became one of the more anticipated dates of the year. Here’s the track listing for Exploding Head

It Is Nothing
In Your Heart
Lost Feeling
Deadbeat
Keep Slipping Away
Ego Death
Smile When You Smile
Everything Always Goes Wrong
Exploding Head
I Live My Life To Stand In The Shadow Of Your Heart

New album releases almost always seem to come with supporting tours. This is no exception. A Place to Bury Strangers are hitting the road this fall and coming to a stage near you.
