Johnny Rotten to Britney Spears’ Rescue?

“I haven’t written a song for Britney yet but I would love to. I’d like to help out because there’s a girl who needs some help. She’s been hurt. And hurt is the root core essence of good music.”

These are the words of punk/post-punk pioneer and innovator John Lydon, AKA Johnny Rotten. The former Sex Pistols frontman empathizes with the rapidly-falling pop star and insists he could give her career a boost. Spears has had a tough year with custody battles over her kids, hospitalization and management issues and the man who howled “god save the queen” wants to help turn it around.
