Sinead O’Connor’s New Theology Album Details

Sinead O’Connor has revealed the details of her forthcoming album Theology. The double-disc will be released on June 26th in the US. It includes eight original songs and a few covers.

Theology is an attempt to create a place of peace in a time of war,” said O’Connor.

The first disc, recorded in Dublin, is titled the “Dublin Sessions” and features an acoustic treatment of the songs produced by Irish musician Steve Cooney who is known for his work with The Chieftains.

The second disc, recorded in London, is titled the “London Sessions” and was produced by Ron Tom. Its approach features a full band including drums, bass, guitar, piano, harp, violins, celli, French horn, flute, backing vocals and percussion. Reggae bass legend Robbie Shakespeare makes an appearance.
